This long-established club organises and supports sports including tennis, football, running, archery, croquet, badminton, cycling and ladies hockey. The Badingham Road site provides first class facilities for most of these. In addition the Badminton Club uses sport centre facilities at Thomas Mills High School and the Ladies Hockey Club meets at Framlingham College.
Aiming to enable everyone in the local community to participate in the sport of their choice, and keen to get young people involved, most sections provide coaching/match practice for different ages and abilities. Focus is on raising standards, encouraging excellence and discipline and ensuring the future of the Club.
The Management Committee oversees the administration and maintenance of 16 acres of sports land including: 3 floodlit hard tennis courts; 7 football pitches (1 floodlit); 2 pavilions incorporating a range of dressing rooms with shower/toilet facilities; 2 archery ranges and 3 croquet lawns. The spacious, comfortable Clubhouse is available for hire.
All officers of the Club/sections service voluntarily. Anyone interested in a playing or administrative role will be made very welcome.
